The Reinagel Lab studies the computational theory and neural mechanisms of decision-making, ranging from perceptual decisions to economic choices to scientific inference. Our primary experimental tools are quantitative behavior in rats, mice and humans; electrophysiology; and in silico simulations. We are part of the Neurobiology department and the Neurosciences Program at UCSD. For more details about the lab see the links at left. |

Current opening for a theoretical neuroscience postdoc. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in mathematics, statistics, physics, or similarly quantitative field. The project involves studying nonstationarity and multi-timescale correlations in neural and behavioral data. This is a theory-heavy project but there is an experimental component. Previous neuroscience background is not required. Email preinagel [at] ucsd (dot) edu to inquire. |
